Production and Administrative Internships
Berkshire Theatre Festival offers Production and Administrative Internships. Applicants for this program need to be students with some theatre experience who are looking to expand their knowledge with hands-on work and mentorship from professional department heads. Each intern is a crucial part of the creation and operation of the festival from running professional shows, to building sets and costumes or working fund-raising events. This is the opportunity to gain familiarity and work experience in the theatre career you are headed towards. College credit is available by request. All internships include housing and twenty meals a week. There is a one time fee of $100 for the meal plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is room and board included?
All Berkshire Theatre Festival employees who are not local residents receive housing. A summer meal plan is available for interns, apprentices and some staff positions. This meal plan has a one-time fee of $100.00.
What size are the theatres?
The main stage is a proscenium theatre that seats just over 400. The Unicorn is a small thrust that seats 122.
What is the performance schedule?
Each theatre runs on a nightly basis with eight performances a week. The productions last about three weeks and do not run in rep.
Do I need a car?
A car is convenient and you are welcome to bring one, however you do not need one. The housing is about a mile and a half from the theatres and about two miles from the center of Stockbridge. Rides to and from the main housing and the theatres are easy to find around meal times.
