Berkshire Theatre Festival's mission is to sustain, promote, and produce theatre through performance and educational activities. BTF remains dedicated to producing theatre that recognizes its venerable past while providing a home for the next generation of the merican theatre's creative artists. We are committed to giving participants in the summer training programs an experience that will enlighten their artistic lives.

Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 and be committed to pursuing a career in theatre. The program runs from June to early September, costs $3,050, and includes room and board. Students may apply for financial assistance from the Betsey McKearnan Scholarship Fund, which includes the Margaret Brenman-Gibson Award and the Wally Harper Award.

Theatre for Young Audiences Presented by BTF PLAYS! Berkshire Theatre Festival's Year-Round Education Program

Wednesday - Saturday 11 am at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, with no show on July 4. Child/student $7, adult $10, members receive a discount. Please call 413-443-7171 for ticket information.

Stories of heroes have been told for as long as people could give voice to thought, but none has ever matched the excitement and inspiration of the Greek myth of Hercules. In this play, the hero undertakes twelve impossible tasks, including battling beastly boars and bulls, rerouting rivers, slaying multi-headed monsters, and traveling into the Underworld.
